WHAT IS SUNDAY CLUB?
Not just an English lesson.
Not just childcare, either.
At LIBERA, English is not something children sit down to memorize. We create a space where they choose, explore, become absorbed in what they are doing, and connect with others — while English is naturally part of the day.
Start with what they love
Music, drawing, movement — whatever sparks a child’s interest that day becomes a starting point for deeper learning.
Build independence
We value the experience of spending a little time away from family, building trust with teachers and friends, and finding a comfortable place within the group.

Over three hours,
play naturally becomes learning.
We have a clear rhythm to the session, but we do not simply work through a fixed set of materials. Activities shift with the children’s interests, energy, and needs that day.

Start slowly with something familiar and fun.
We do not expect every child to join in the same way from the start. They can play, get comfortable with the space and teachers, and settle in at their own pace.
MUSIC & MOVEMENT
Sing. Move. Feel English with the whole body.
Through songs, rhythm, games, and movement, children experience English through sound and action before they need to translate it.
ART & CREATIVE PLAY
Create first — language follows.
Art, crafts, sensory play, and seasonal activities give children something meaningful to talk about as they create and interact with teachers.
SNACK & STORY
English is there in the quiet moments, too.
English continues through snack breaks, casual conversation, picture books, and stories — not only during planned activities.
FREE PLAY & GOODBYE
End with “I want to come back.”
We finish by returning to a favorite activity. At pick-up, we share how your child spent the session and what stood out to us.

Rather than making everyone move at the same pace,
we keep the group small enough to truly see each child.
We will open with five children. Whether a child jumps straight in or prefers to watch first, the program is designed so the team can notice and respond to each child’s interests, feelings, and pace.

At pick-up, we share activities, what your child was able to do, and observations from the team in Japanese or English.

There is no need for your child to spend three full hours away from you on the very first visit. We begin together, then gradually transition into time with the teachers and class as your child becomes comfortable.

Spending an entire Sunday alongside your child is not always easy. If you are going to have a little time apart, we want that time to feel meaningful for your child, too.
Regular Sunday Club sessions are designed for children to attend independently. At pick-up, we share the day’s activities, what your child was able to do, and observations from our team in Japanese or English.

we want to nurture “Why?” and “I want to try!”
At LIBERA, we do not believe early childhood is about learning as much as possible, as early as possible. It is also about feeling music, making things with your own hands, connecting with friends, making mistakes, and trying again.
English is one tool that helps open that world wider. Rather than simply studying English, we want children to play, discover, and grow in a world where English is part of everyday life. That is the environment we are building.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can my child join with no previous English experience?
Yes. We do not divide children by English level. They encounter and use English naturally through play and activities.
Do parents stay for the class?
Regular classes are designed for children to attend independently. During a trial, we begin with a parent present and adjust gradually based on how your child is feeling.
What if my child cries or has trouble separating?
We will never force a separation. Teachers will respond to your child’s needs, and we will contact you if necessary.
I’m interested in a morning class.
We are currently contacting interested families in order. Trial sessions are available for families interested in a future morning class as well.
Where are sessions held? Is parking available?

Who teaches the class?
The two-person team includes a lead teacher with 15 years of international-school teaching experience and a support teacher qualified as both a kindergarten teacher and childcare worker.
Do you do the same activities every week?
No. We keep a familiar rhythm, but activities change with the children’s interests, the season, and the energy of the group that day.
